Dr. Allen Phillips (TCM)

Dr. Allen Phillips (TCM) is an AHPRA-Registered Acupuncturist who completed a Bachelor of  Health Science in Acupuncture at Endeavour College of Natural Health and completed a clinical internship at Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medicine University in Nanning, China. Allen also holds an Advanced Diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese Remedial Massage.

Allen continued his postgraduate studies, pursuing the field of Cosmetic Acupuncture, first with White Lotus (Australasia’s first specialist anti-aging acupuncture clinic) and then with New York City’s Chi-Akra Centre founder Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, a world leader in facial renewal techniques.

Allen is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association and utilises a number of methods in his treatments including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese Medicine dietetic advice, cupping, guasha, tui na (Chinese remedial massage), and moxibustion.

While trained in treating an extensive range of disorders in various body systems, Allen has a particular passion for Facial Rejuvenation, cosmetic acupuncture and dermatology.

Allen believes and practices by the traditional eastern philosophy – that your body can self-heal. “Acupuncture developed from a philosophy of holistic balance and harmony. It sees the human being not as separate from nature, but as an interrelated and integral part of it. Therefore the body, like nature, is healthiest in balance when all systems and organs are functioning harmoniously, with the bodies natural energy flow”.

Allen has relocated to Canberra recently from Brisbane, where he was the principal Acupuncturist of Youthful Dragon in Paddington. Due to Allen’s dedication to the wellbeing of his clients, he will be returning to Brisbane for a long weekend each month to look after the many who wish to continue under his care.
